Blood Searing Spear

Overview

The pact weapon of Corliss.

Appearance

• A spear 
• Delicate elven tracery along its shaft.
• A longer, slender, metal blade - slightly more than a typical spear point - affixed at the end.
• Occasionally drips a toxic black sap from where the spear point is embedded in the shaft.

Usage and Effects

• Normal/versatile spear piercing damage.
• 20/60 range. 
• Exudes black, tar like, toxic sap on command that can add additional 2d8 poison damage if you succeed in melee attack (3x per day, you choice whether to exude sap).  Halved if target makes CON save. 
• Once per day, the spear - when thrown - has a vine trace its route in the air. To the degree that the spear embeds itself in the target, the vine will affix itself similarly when the spear returns to its owner.
