  Ancient Dominion of the Unending Lands —

  The Ancient Dominion, knowledge of which had long been lost, has reemerged in the last few years in the orcish lands located in the Badcrag Mountains, bordered on the west by by Darkstone and the Pillars of Krokus.

  The Riding —

  A federation of cities and villages along the banks of the Green River and its tributaries stretching from the foothills of the Badcrag Mountains to the Forearc Basin.  The Riding was traditionally under the loose rulership of the Lord of Greenmouth but is now occupied by the Empire of Polonia.

  The Empire of Polonia is a regimented, expansionist empire that originated on a series of islands across the Forearc Basin from The Riding.

Cities

• Page:
  Harketh —

  An ancient Orcish city rumored to exist in the Badcrag Mountains.  Notable as being the capital and primary city of the Orcish empire during stories occurring during the early days of The Seventh Age.

  One of the major cities of The Riding, located in the lower reaches of the Green River.

  Darkstone —

  On the western side of the Pillars of Krokus, the town of Darkstone is primarily a trading post at which goods created in the Orcish territories are traded with the Riding. The town is marked by large bazaars and establishments that cater to caravans from The Riding.

  Pigswallow —

  A town in the upper reaches of the Green River known for raising livestock.

  Highbridge —

  One of the major cities of The Riding, primarily known for its mammoth stone bridge that crosses the Green River.

  Greenmouth —

  The largest city in the the Riding, situated on the shore of the Forearc Basin and at the mouth the Green River.  It was the seat of the Lord of the Riding and is now occupied by the Governor General of the occupying forces of Polonia.

  Temple of Eternal Embers —

  Located in a box canyon on the western flank of the Badcrag Mountains, this Orcish temple was renowned as one of the most sacred sites in ancient times. It is built on and amongst various volcanic elements.

  An ancient elven city, swallowed by a massive earthquake and located at the bottom of Shadowcrag in the Black Forest.

Geographical

• Page:
  Forearc Basin —

  A shallow sea that separates The Riding and the Empire of Polonia.

  Badcrag Mountains —

  A range of jagged mountains immediately to the east of The Riding.  There are a number of dormant volcanos in the range and a few that occasionally belch smoke and seem restless.

  Blasted Lands —

  Reported to exist to the east of the Badcrag Mountains, the Blasted Lands are a barren wasteland suffering from a constant state of drought and the remnants of violent, volcanic activity.

  Caterwaul Run —

  A tributary of the Green River, running east to west through the Black Forest and sourced in the Badcrag Mountains.

  Green River —

  A river running east to west through The Riding, sourced in the Badcrag Mountains and emptying in the Forearc Basin. As it travels through The Riding, it is typically a mile or more wide and twenty feet deep.

  North of the Green River, the Black Forest is an unexplored area of dense forest, and serves as the source of myths and terrors from beyond the realm of civilization.
