Overview

The Ancient Dominion, knowledge of which had long been lost, has reemerged in the last few years in the orcish lands located in the Badcrag Mountains, bordered on the west by by Darkstone and the Pillars of Krokus.

Overview

The various tribes of the Orcs, especially the Black Fang Tribe and the Red Claw Tribe, had previously existing as independent tribes, struggling with each other and the outside world to preserve their own autonomy and to gain dominance over others. However, in the last few years, a set of priests emerged from an ancient temple and has gained controlled over all the Orcish tribes and recreated an empire from ancient Orcish histories.

This newly created empire - the Ancient Dominion of the Burning Lands - exerts control over every existing Orc tribe and every piece of existing Orcish territory. It has established its capital in a city that was long buried in the sands but has been excavated. This city, the city of Harketh, is once again the center of Orcish power in the world.

This empire is ruled by a small cadre of ancient priests. Though small in number, these priests have grown to rely upon members of the modern Orc tribes that quickly and fanatically pledged themselves to the old ways.

The small amount of trade that occurred in Darkstone is no more and none may pass the Pillars of Krokus.
