Hurodash - Encounter 2

As you lay in bed, your flame tattoos begin to pulse in time with your heart. Then the flames sputter and fade and the tattoos disappear for a moment before springing back to life. A vision is forced upon you:

You look down from a great height and you see ruins.

The valley walls are choked with vines and a jungle fills the grounds within. The broken bits of stone towers and walls peek up through the undergrowth. Huge beasts poke their heads through the canopy. Everything sits on the edge of a lake of fire, delicately, as if the ground were to shake but once it would all slide in.

Voices call to you. Huge voices, but hollow. Voices that have screamed and screamed until they were all but torn away.

The last ragged bits gasp.

We're dead. Almost. Not yet.

Help us. Free us. Avenge us.

Come collect our blessing.

You look down at your arms and for a moment tattoos cover both before fading back to how it had been.

You gain the first-ish or second-ish level fire spell/ability of your choice. TBD.
