Badcrag Mountains

Overview

A range of jagged mountains immediately to the east of The Riding.  There are a number of dormant volcanos in the range and a few that occasionally belch smoke and seem restless.

Details

The city of Darkstone is known to be located in the western foothills and serves as a market city between The Riding and the greater Orc population assumed to exist deeper in the Badcrag Mountains.

In addition, smaller villages outside of the generally accepted boundaries of The Riding exist in secluded locations along the western edge of the mountains. These villages are generally more primitive in nature and have a higher proportion of half-orcs then it seen otherwise. These villages tend to group into small confederacies for raids or defense against other villages but are otherwise unaffiliated with other nations.
