North of the Green River, the Black Forest is an unexplored area of dense forest, and serves as the source of myths and terrors from beyond the realm of civilization.
Amongst other things, the forest appears to be particularly filled with cats of all sorts, including pumas and Displacer Beasts. At nighttime, feline growls and screeches fill the air.
